Bradninch Arts Group is an open group of unpaid enthusiasts which encourages arts activities in the town.

We arrange professional performances locally such as puppet shows, theatre for adults and classical music. We also organise workshops in arts skills such as mosaics whereby local people can have a go at making things.

BAG (as it is sometimes affectionately known) also works with the Music Group over the summer festival, organising, for example, a scarecrow making competition. We work with Playgroup to help with the 12th night celebrations; and with the Duchy school in their annual Arts Week. We also raised funds to buy the fine grand piano in St Disens’ church which is open for all to play.

We share a website with the music group: www.bradninchevents.org

Bradninch Arts Group (BAG) supports and promotes the arts in Bradninch. The town is fortunate in having a wealth of talent covering many aspects including:

  •     Music
  •     Theatre
  •     Crafts
  •     Sculpture
  •     Fine Art

As well as organising events, we have been able to attract funding which has enabled us to:

  •     Support the local school in arts based projects
  •     Start a fund to buy a new piano for Bradninch
  •     Support local theatre productions
  •     Provide workshops for all ages
  •     Help fund the music festivals

BAG owns a public address system, which is a community resource available to anyone for a donation of funds, free for charity events or for local bands for practicing. It is used at many BAG events.

BAG is a member of Villages in Action (VIA) and brings about five subsidised quality theatrical events in the town each year.

BAG supports the local Bradninch Players

The groups’ activities reflect the enthusiasms of active members, so if you would like to see something happening there's a good chance BAG can help out. Please get in touch.
